Eliza at 730am today, April 27,2011
She's the winner today, she woke at 530am and never went back to sleep till I left to Malacca to work. She was so cheerful, however she got backache. drank a lot of water last night around three litre make her bloated.

I knew its all caused by the drug she took for the past for days. People said it was heaty inside and you tend to easier get dehydrated once you under the therapy.

Her BP this morning was at 111/71. Dr will take her blood test today at 800am and will continue her therapy at 11am for the next twelve hour. I expect her therapy will end by 12 midnite.

Wati is taking care of her for breakfast and Mama and Kay Ee will be in by 230pm. Before I left hospital, I have told her that she's a good girl and always be strong.

I arrived Malacca at 816am, heavy downpour from Puchong up to Nilai. hold some quick discussion at 830am with operational staff, signed few documents and left for Durian Tunggal at 1030am.

Soon after Datuk Akhir and wIfe arrived together wih wati and amin. I asked ninie to excuse herself to give way to them.

Bought them brunch at Botanical Cafe and make my trip to Merlimau member of Parliament office as he's my director of the company. Gave him a very quick brief about day to day administrative matter.

By noon I received a call from Eliza informing me that Dr Shanker just let her know her red blood count kept improving. She was so happy. However white cell blast still maintain at 90%.

As I write a nurse came in and take her BP before her bedtime. 111/62.

A thorough Day

As I step out after breakfast, I went for my round with my executive, checking every single details within our outdoor compound. From road marking, kerb, walkway to landscape. Last visit outside of the building was our rubbish room and drainage system.

Azmi got hell from me, he kept on writing in his small notebook.

Afterwards, we enter or cafe, both azmi and the oparator got another hell as I saw raw food lying on the floor.

We move on to public toilets male and female, cubicle by cubicle. He kept on writing while I mumble. All together 16 public toilets 6 handicap toilets, 15 AHU rooms, 6 discussion rooms, 10 riser and finally store room.

I will do it sir, that's his promise. I let him go with a promise too. I will be back tomorrow.

Along vs Along

I've heard from my sister that my eldest brother involved in an accident yesterday morning at around 330am somewhere near Kajang and now he's admitted to spinal injury ward HUKM.

On my way back to Kuala Lumpur I already inform both my wife that I'm going to pay him a visit.

Upon arriving at the hospital I was refuse entry as it was too late. As usual, using my government ID I was let in.

Bed 5, forth floor was quite a distance. Oh pity him who was left alone. No son, wife or daughter. What a 'failed' institution. I swear its not going to happen to my family.

I wished him a speedy recovery.

Hoping Continue....

As usual, I woke up as early as 7am, hoping that my energy will boost after yesterday trip back to Malacca. I arrived at PMC at nearly midnite.

This morning, as usual preparing Milo for her as she still asleep.

The minute I got out of the shower room, Dr shanker already the by the bedside doing his routine. BP at 132/70. Everything is fine except the white cells blasting maintained at 90%. Nothing will changed as per Shanker.

Decision for chemo has been put on hold for next few days while papa looking for alternative. Hoping for the best! I however stay firm to go for chemo once things settle down.

We have to do both clinical and traditional. That's the facts.

I left the hospital for Malacca as I have to chair management meeting immediately after her breakfast.

We both agreed that she must not have a lot of visitors. I then informed the sister. No one allow to visit after 7pm except family members.

Arrive Malacca and straight away chaired the meeting that ended at 445pm. Haven't take single bite of food make me starving.

Dropby to see my little icca. Take her out to purchase a piece of sweater for my wife. I then head back to KL, drop by at Nilai at 910pm for my first meal of the day.

Journey continue.....

I am hoping

Dear all,

Today I woke at 7am as sunway medical centre management advised me that I can check out after I had informed them that I wanted to move to pantai medical centre in Bangsar.

I suspected the doctor who admit my wife not happy with my decision to remove her. He never attended to my wife for the last ywo days after I informed him that I wanted to look for second opinion.

Dr vijaya shankar joganathan naidu our visiting Dr from Pantai Hospital which is also the haematologist for my wife is the only one who attended my wife once in the morning and in the evening.

Being very helpful and very frank. Later last nite at about 7pm I informed him my decision to remove my wife to Pantai. He prepared all our document. By 11pm while I was out, the Sister came and told my wife that I can leave at 7am. Seems like our presence there is nomore welcome.

However treatment for drips still on till 7am. By 8am Dr Vijaya attended to my wife and let her know, 'see you there' (Pantai).

By then I already prepared Milo for my wife and packed our lugage for the tranfer. Sending bit by bit to our car at ground level.

Knowing that insurance office only open at 9am, I just be very patience for the final bill. Requesting for few times to pay the misc but to no avail, I decided to swipe 'open' my credit card in order for me to be discharge.

Left the hospital somewhere about 11am and reach Pantai almost 12noon after going through drizzling day on the federal highway.

Both of us was welcome with a wheelchair at the entrance. My wife with her mask on was wheeled straight to the ER while I look for a parking spot at level B2.

Immediately rush to the admission counter and register my wife admission. I was attended by Ms Isma, she was from Ipoh as I was told. Very warm....

Details taken and I was directed to ER where my wife was and ask to wait as there will be people to sent her to room D603.

Doctor at ER also was very friendly. I can't remember his name. Few minutes later one achee came in with a wheel chair and sent us up.

She was then weigh and later permitted to enter D603.

Its about 1240pm and I knew she haven taken good breakfast this morning. Asked for menu and pass to her for whatever she want. She ordered roasted chicken, her favorite food.

In between the lunch call came in to informed my bill is ready for settelment from SMC.

I informed her that I have to make and excuse by 130pm to settle the bill. She nodded.

Heavy traffic awaits me over federal highway heading to sunway. I reached there almost at 2pm.

Back in the hospital BP check was carried out, result are 135/74. That's nice to hear. She's getting better I hope.

I left straight to Bangsar for a quick shot as I knew by then there will be a lot of visitors coming in. True enough. My mother, siblings, parent in law and few of her friend crowded the room. Of which I don't agree with. I only allow very minimum visitor as my wife are not strong enough. I quickly invted my mother and siblings to the lounge next door to ease the room. Offer them some refreshment and start telling them the whole scenario. They fully understand.

Visitors kept coming in, the last group was dr rubina, zue, dan, kak lang and another friend. They left almost at 7pm.

I am tired and I guess she too. At about 8pm my sister in law shima came in with her boyfriend. She informed us there will be another visitors (kak zai, abg nasir and wife and children too), exhausted, I fell asleep.

Blood Donor

As I decided that my wife should go for chemo, I am out to look for donor. Eliza blood type was a A+, so I should look for A+ or O type of blood.

So far ninie, azman aziz, azmi hasan and hamdan hamid has come forward to willingly donate. I need more blood and I will do anything to my ability to ensure that eliza will get what she needs.

I hope a lots more will come forward to assists me at this time I am in need.

Times is not at my side now. Will try harder......

Telling The Truth

I finally has to confront my wife and telling her my point of view.

She cried, I consoled her. I have very high positive that she will soon recover after the 4 cycle of treatment.

In between the nurse came in and check her pressure. 131/65. Sign of improvement to start the day with. I kept talking and pass her today NST daily. She read all the headlines throughout to the last adds.

Went to the shower room and prepared her hot towel and I freshen herself while she's still sitting on the bed. She smile and afterwards I changed her sarong too.

I guess by now she had spend all the energy and became tired. She need a rest by now. She asked me to lay the bed down as she wanted to ease herself, I sat next to her and grab the daily.

I told her what my plan is, I will be her overnite throughout the process as I will be at work during the day. To commute daily to Melaka is tiring, would not hesitate to do that for her.

The phone rang, its her dad called. I answered, as I was in front of her I can't speak the truth. He told me about one pios man that can assist. It seems nothing had happened which is contrary then the medical report. I am confused!

I told her dad what is my decision, he seem not too happy about it and put down the phone.

Yes, I might be right scientifically but I may be wrong too.

I have another two days before we proceed for the therapy. I will discussed with her parent this evening. Consequences is always there.

Will have to come up with decision no matter what.

The Truth

I woke at 7am as my schedule today is meeting Dr Shanker the hematologist at 8am.

After a quick shower I went straight for quick puff too.

Waited at the carpark till 755am. I sighted Dr Shanker and I made my way up to 4th floor.

We met in a very small discussion room, approximately 3m x 2m. With one small whyteboard he started with all the caused and explanation.

Finally, he confirmed my wife contracted AML - (acute myleod leukimia) with 80% white cells in the bone marrow.

I take it very positive as I have to share this result with her. I must be strong.

We then discussed how the treatment going to be. As he explain, there will be 4 cycle of chemo that patient will go through. It all takes almost a month if things goes well. The normal cost with no additional drugs is somewhere around RM70,000.

Should there be additional drugs or infection during the process, the sky is the limit.

My meeting ended less than 15 minutes. We then proceed to see my wife as she's about to have a bite of toasted bread.

Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device via Vodafone-Celcom Mobile.

Back to Melaka

After feeding her lunch, I made my trip back to Melaka.

Upon arrival, went straight to office and signed few document. Make afew calls inclusive to Datuk Amid about the whole situation.

Meanwhile, my wife condition after the biopsy seem doesn't change much. BP still low at 58 although better then the day before at 55.

Then I went home, first thing I did was to hug my little icca. Straight away went up for my shower and start packing a few things necessary for my trip back to SMC.

Talk to ninie about her kakak condition. She understand well. Informed her to buy grocers on her own as I have very little time to attend to it.

There goes, I took a short nap till 530pm, woke up and take my icca out for 2 bottle of Ribena.

Drove back to SMC will take another one and a half hour. On my way my wife called to inform that she have visitors, Hema, Casey, Celia and Ita which I knew them well.

Casey and Celia doesn't agreed to what had happened 5 years ago to both me and my wife. So I decided not to make my presence before them in the hospital room. Of which I choose to stay out at Bali.

What a tough day

Dear all.

Today is gouing to be a tough day for me, last two days my wife was admitted to a private hospital as she was to weak after an excursion in Bangkok.

She was an ashtma patient as well she had a cough. After a blood diagnos they doctor discover she had something else in the blood. Of which, we accepted.

But we have to decide a way out. Doctors pressuring me to make a decision for treatment. I kept my mouth numb!

I tried to convince my parent in law to make a consesus decision making. No one said anything.

I don't want to risk the live of my loving wife. We must go through, I must be positive, I must decide what is best for her.

Tommorrow she's going for biopsy test. It take only 15 minute the most. The risk is tremendous.

Pray to god by 930am everything is going to be okay dude!

My wife contracted leukimia . Wish her well soon. I will go through this with high spirits.
